It was December 28, 2013...20° with a 35MPH Wind...and I trudged through mid-calf high mud in a pair of chest waders about 125 yards from "the Mile Stretch" and into the mudflat at Biddeford Pool.

Norm Smith of Massachusetts Audubon is a Snowy Owl expert. His team caught this young male Snowy Owl at Boston's Logan Airport and it was brought to Parker River NWR in Newburyport to be released.
